Warplanes of the USA: Washington, Seattle, Museum of Flight
Washington Warplanes
Seattle, Museum of Flight, 9404 E Marginal Way S, 98108.
The Museum’s collection of air and spacecraft is the most visible component of a wealth of aerospace-related artifacts. The Boeing 80A-1, salvaged from a junk heap in Anchorage, Alaska, was the Museum’s first aircraft acquisition. It took many years and an incredible amount of effort to get this airplane on display in a new museum in Seattle. Yet, it was the first aircraft of many. The aircraft preserved in the collection include:
Aeronca C-2 (Serial No. 301-23), Reg. No. N30RC.
Aeronca L-3B Grasshopper (Serial No. 9223), Reg. No. N47427.
