Douglas C-124A Globemaster II strategic heavy-lift cargo aircraft for the US Air Force, 10 July 1952. Powered by four 3,800 hp R-4360 Wasp Major engines, the C-74 could carry up to 200 troops or 37 tons of cargo. It first flew in 1949 and remained in service until the mid-1970s.
