Bell UH-1 Iroquois helicopter (Serial No.), on the roof of a steel storage facility behind the wall of Desert View Storage at 2646 W Guadalupe Road Ste 12. The nose of the helicopter bears the black cat on a yellow circle symbol of the 82nd Airborne. The only other insignia are the words United States Army on the side of the tail. There is no serial number or other form of identification.

Marana. Pinal Airpark is located in Pinal County, seven miles northwest of Marana, Pima County, Arizona. The Airpark serves as a “boneyard” for civilian commercial aircraft. Retired aircraft are stored here with the hope that the dry desert climate will prevent any form of corrosion in case selected the aircraft are pressed into service in the future, although many aircraft are eventually scrapped. Nearby Davis-Monthan Air Force Base provides the same service to the U.S. military. The majority of the aircraft at Pinal Airpark formerly served with Northwest Airlines, although other airlines are also represented.
