The Canada Aviation and Space Museum is located at 11 Aviation Parkway, Ottawa, Ontario.

The aim of this website is to locate, identify and document every historical Warplane preserved in Canada.  Many contributors have assisted in the hunt for these aircraft to provide and update the data on this website.  Photos are by the author unless otherwise credited.  Any errors found here are by the author, and any additions, correctons or amendments to this list of Warplanes in Canada would be most welcome and may be e-mailed to the author at hskaarup@rogers.com.

Supermarine Spitfire F Mk. IIb (Serial No. P8332), (6173), CBAF 711.  Currently on display in the Canadian War Museum, this aircraft is a Battle of Britain veteran.  She wears the codes ZD-L of No. 222 Sqn, which she wore when serving with the Squadron in 1941.  It is a "Presentation" aircraft and carries the name "SOEBANG N.E.I.”, funded by the Netherlands East Indies.

Supermarine Spitfire LF Mk. IXc (Serial No. NH188), CBAF IX 2161. This aircraft served with the Royal Netherlands Air Force as (Serial No. H-109) later (Serial No. H-64) from 1947 to 1952 and with the Belgian Air Force as (Serial No. SM-39) from 1952 to 1954.  Privately owned, it was flown in Belgium as OO-ARC and was later imported to Canada where it flew as CF-NUS.  After being donated on 7 June 1964, it is now on display as AU-H.

Supermarine Spitfire LF Mk. XVIe (Serial No. TE214), CBAF IX 4424, DN-T.  Built in 1945, this Spitfire never saw combat.  It is part of the Canada Aviation and Space Museum collection but is on long term loan to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Mount Hope, Ontario.
