The Planes of Fame Air Museum in Chino, California, houses and flies this rare, airworthy Lockheed P-38J-20-LO Lightning, (Serial No. 44-23314). Nick-named “23 Skidoo,” this iconic iconic Second World War twin-boom fighter was acquired in 1959, restored to flying condition in 1988, and regularly performs in airshows and demonstrations.
