Canadair F-86 Sabre Mk. 6 (Serial No. BB-118), MSN 964, ex RCAF (Serial No. 23174), and a number of Mk. VI Sabres of the German Luftwaffe, in front of the hangars at the Luftwaffe’s Sabre conversion unit, Waffenschule 10,  Oldenburg, Germany. The aircraft in camouflage are Mk. V’s and those in natural metal are Mk. VIs.

The German Air Force operated 75 Canadair Sabre Mk. 5 and 225 Canadair Sabre Mk. 6 from 1957 to 1964. They were flown by JG 71, JG 72, and JG 73. The last Mk. 6 used for training was retired in 1983.
