On 3 June 1953 American aviatrix Jacqueline Cochrane, under the supervision of Chuck Yeager, (later BGen Yeager), flew this aircraft to a new 100 km speed record of 1,050 km/h.  She also dove this Sabre to 1,270 km/h, becoming the first woman to break the speed of sound.

Piasecki Vertol H-44 Workhorse Helicopter (Serial No. 9592), CF-BSG.  This RCAF CH-127 (Vertol H-44A) originally served with the USAF (Serial No. 60-5446).  It was acquired by the RCAF on 11 May, 1960, and initially served at RCAF Station Trenton, Ontario with No. 4 OTU prior to being transferred to No. 103 Rescue Unit at RCAF Station Greenwood, Nova Scotia on 8 May, 1961.  It remained there until being transferred to Air Defence Command and flown to RCAF Station Chatham, New Brunswick on 20 October 1964.  (It is shown here in a baseball park at Liverpool, Nova Scotia in 1966).  From there it went to AMDU's detachment at Mountainview, Ontario on 22 Nov 1971 for disposal.  It was subsequently purchased by Nahanni Helicopters in Delta, British Columbia and registered as CF-BSG.
